    Henderson County officials confirm that a Sheriff working as a school resource officer has been sentenced after pleading guilty to having sex with a student. Daniel Lee Lindsey, 28 is now serving a 63 month prison sentence, 30 months of which is mandatory. The sentencing came after Lindsey admitted he had consensual sex with a 16 year old student in 2013. Lindsey had no prior criminal history, and will have to register as a sex offender upon release.

    There were no major injuries when a tractor trailer and train collided in Laurens County. South Carolina Highway Patrol troopers tell us it happened on Rocky Springs Church Road around 7:00 p.m. Tuesday. According to officials on scene, the truck was trying to cross the railroad tracks when the trailer of the truck became stuck on the tracks. We're told the driver got out and unhooked the trailer from the truck. He was not hurt.

    The Oconee County Sheriff's Office reports that shots were fired Saturday night at Sonny's Bar and Grill, and the County Coroner confirmed that at least one person died Sunday from gunshot wounds. Officers were dispatched out to Sonny's around 12:30 a.m. for a fight and while on the way to the scene received reports of shots being fired with multiple people that were wounded. There were reports of roughly a hundred people were in the crowd at the time of the shooting.

    The Greenwood County Coroners Office states that one person is dead after a wreck on Northside Drive in Greenwood.Randall Shara Gilliam, 25 of Bradley, SC was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck at 6:14 a.m. Sunday.SC Highway Patrol reports that the driver ran off the side of the road and struck an object.The cause of death is blunt force trauma due to the collision.The Greenwood County Coroners Office and SC Highway Patrol are still investigating the crash.
