    A report of a house fire was called in around 5:26 a.m. on Sunday morning. According to Cherokee County Coroner Dennis Fowler, firefighters found the house completely engulfed in flames when they arrived on scene. Fowler says the person who called in the fire could hear someone inside the home. Once the crews got the fire under control around 10 a.m. they were able to locate the victim, who has been identified as Gail Ruppe Bright, 69. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
